Judy is one of those very unique professional nurses who has developed the extraordinary skill of helping people live better lives through healing, not just curing. She also has fostered a special capability to collaborate with patients who are dying, so they can die with dignity. This power was most clearly exemplified with her sister and mother, both who died of cancer in their early fifties.
From 1964-1978, Judy held many clinical roles in hospitals and geriatric settings in Connecticut and Massachusetts. As her husband Mike Daly was appointed to the most senior level of Hartford Hospital and then Baystate Health System from the early 1980s onward, she has dedicated her time to chairing major fund-raising activities, including the Lucky Duck Race, in which she raised over $1 million. Judy has been awarded many honors for her multiple volunteer activities, as she did in obtaining her nursing degree for St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing, Hartford Connecticut in 1964.
